Steve here- big changes afoot!
After nearly nine years working with Jack, five of them here at Tiny Tone, I’m moving on to pastures new (closer to my hollowed-out volcano lair in West Yorkshire).
It’s been amazing making every kind of scratchplate and pickguard imaginable over the past few years, and it’s been an absolute pleasure working with everyone to make some really cool stuff.
Jack is not going to hire/train anyone else in the immediate future* and will instead take some time to assess the next steps for Tiny Tone, whilst still running his main business, Jack’s Instrument Services.
*our inbox overflows at the best of times, so we respectfully ask: please do NOT send any CVs unless we post a job advert
Pedal, electronics, and sheet material blank orders will continue as usual.
This isn’t the end of custom scratchplate making here in Cheetham Hill by any means, but as of today (September 1st 2026) any pickguard jobs will be taken on subject to Jack’s availability. To order, please fill out our old quote form and he’ll get back to you if/when he’s able to take the work on.
A huge thanks to everyone that’s placed an order, sent us pictures of my work on your guitars, tagged us on socials, left us positive google reviews (165+ five star reviews baby!), and generally supported a UK-based Small Manufacturer of Cool Stuff over the past few years.
Big love to all our peers and clients in the UK guitar industry- you guys rock. Keep up the good work!
And of course, big thanks and best wishes going forward to Jack for being a fantastic employer/mentor/pal.
All the best!
Steve
